Film Fundraisers - Don't Miss Our Upcoming Events!

The International Fly-Fishing Film Festival (IF4) is a documentary comprised of short films featuring world-class salt and freshwater fly-fishing destinations. Each year fly-fishermen/women and film makers submit films in hopes of making the final cut. The MRF works with the IF4 to get exclusive viewing rights in our area in order to host an annual fundraiser for conservation of the Madison River. Join us in person or virtually to support our community, the River, and a sensational, creative film festival you don’t want to miss!

IF4 fundraiser dates:

May 13th - West Yellowstone
May 20th - Ennis
June 3rd - Bozeman

Tickets for West Yellowstone and Ennis viewings are available on our website. Bozeman tickets will be available in the near future.

This year we will also be hosting an Annual Fundraiser Dinner with Music on the Madison on July 2nd. Save the date! More details to come.

Business Sponsorships

The Madison River supports this community, and we are proud to highlight businesses who support the conservation of the Madison River. Pictured on the left are our current Mainstream (top level) business sponsors.

Our 12-month business sponsorship program is new this year. Details are available by email.  All 2022 fundraising events are made possible by the annual contributions of these sponsors.

New MRF Scholarships

In 2002 when the MRF was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Articles of Incorporation stated its purposes as charitable, scientific, and educational. We are excited to expand upon our educational purpose by offering four college scholarships to graduates of Ennis and West Yellowstone high schools for up to $2500 each. Your support has made this possible!

Volunteers Needed

Conservation projects and fundraising events sponsored by the Foundation this summer will need volunteer support to be successful.

The Ruby Swale Reconnect, our current major conservation project, will improve water quality and increase cold water inputs to the Madison River.  Volunteers will be needed to cut and plant willows along the restored channel and to put up fencing.

Additionally, we will have our new River Ambassador program and upcoming fundraising events where we cherish the opportunity to work together with you to continue to build conservation in our community.  Dates and details are available in our signup form.  We hope to see you this summer!

Board Updates

Beginning April 1st Jim Slattery will be stepping down from his position as President and Chair of the Board.  He will pass this role on to current Secretary, Jim Kramer.  The role of Secretary will be filled by current member Rick Johnson.  This change was approved in January by the Directors in accordance with MRF bylaws and MT statutes.

Jim Slattery will serve out his term on the Board, continuing to help maintain the momentum and success of the Foundation's rebuild.  We want to thank Jim for leading the Board during a pivotal time and for continuing to contribute.
